School Dinners

Each day our on-site catering team prepare a hot, balanced meal for our pupils which provides 2 of a child's 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day. The menu has been analysed by a nutritionist and planned to provide the right level of nutrients that a child needs for a healthy diet. Most of the vegetables, salads, milk & potatoes that are used are produced locally and only free range eggs from local farms are used in the home made receipes. School dinners are currently £2.40 per day and payment should be made each Friday for the following week.

Universal Free School Meals are offered to all children in Classes 1 and 2 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)

Older children can also be eligible for Free School Meals.

Medication

For some conditions we may agree to administer prescribed medication to a pupil, if prescribed. All medication must be handed by the parent to a member of staff.  it is the parent's responsibility to ensure that they collect the medication at the end of the school day.  A Medicine Consent form must be completed for each item of medication to be administered.

Holidays in Term Time

It is a legal requirement for parents/carers to obtain the permission of the Headteacher before removing their child from school, in order to take any leave during term-time.

Term-time leave application forms are available from the school office.

• A meeting may be held with Headteacher to discuss proposed leave. 
• The holiday form should be completed and returned to school for the Headteacher/Chair of Governor's consideration.
• Form should be submitted well-in-advance of the proposed leave and before committing to any expense. 

Unauthorised leave taken during term-time could incur a Fixed Penalty Notice. 

Please note that school does not benefit financially in any way when penalties are applied.
